Dr Katie Overy Presents at Edinburgh International Science Festival
On 11th April 2015 Dr Katie Overy joined Prof. Trevor Cox of the University of Salford, science writer Philip Ball, pianist Will Pickvance and sound designer Peregrine Andrews at the Edinburgh International Science Festival to discuss the impact of “Music on the Brain”. This enjoyable event covered everything from cutting edge music neuroscience research to live music performance, including a discussion about living without music and demonstrations of how to create soundscapes for film and TV, making it a truly interdisciplinary exploration of Music and the Brain.
