PhD student Anna Bryan organises Scottish Ageing Forum
On 9th February 2026, MHSD PhD Student Anna Bryan hosted a unique event at Edinburgh Futures Institute: the Scottish Ageing Forum. Funded by the British Society of Gerontology and the Advanced Care Research Centre, University of Edinburgh, the Forum brought together 55 attendees from across Scotland, including representatives from eight universities, eight third-sector organisations, the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland. The theme was ‘collaboration’, with multiple presentations and discussions on cross-disciplinary and cross-sector research and practice.
Fellow MHSD PhD students Deniz Hepdogan and Lucy Forde supported and attended, as well as members of the new Music and Dementia Care network Dr Tom Mudd (UoE) and Laura Baxter (SCO).
