Dr Maria Belén Vargas Liñán joins the MHSD as a Visiting Research Fellow
Welcome to Dr Belén Vargas, from the University of Granada! Dr Vargas has received funding from the Spanish Ministry of Universities for a Visiting Research Fellowship with the MHSD, from June to August 2022 . Dr Vargas will be conducting an interdisciplinary study of Scottish traditional dancing from musicological, choreographic and pedagogical perspectives. This will involve analysing a selection of printed and handwritten scores of Scottish historical dances housed in the National Library of Scotland, learning to dance a repertoire of Scottish folk dances and developing a curriculum to apply in the Andalusian Secondary School Music Classroom.
