Postdoctoral Fellow Dr Una MacGlone curates GIOfest evening, with Ceòl is Craic.
British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow, Dr Una MacGlone recently curated the first night of this years’ GIOfest (with Glasgow Improvisors Orchestra) in collaboration with Gaelic arts organisation Ceòl ‘s Craic. In considering optimal ways of combining diverse elements such as Gaelic poetry and song, photographs and Gaelic place names, graphic scores provided an effective approach for bringing these together, as well as affording space for GIO musicians to be responsive and creative.
