IMHSD Alumni Workshop in honour of Dr Alfred Bader
On 28th April 2024, in honour of what would have been Dr Alfred Bader’s 100th birthday, we held a small IMHSD Alumni workshop in the Reid Concert Hall, University of Edinburgh. Dr Bader supported several early IMHSD conferences and workshops (see links below). Around 30 participants gathered for presentations, posters and a wine reception. Presentations included a talk on “Music, Memory and Myelin” from Prof. Bob Turner, Director Emeritus, Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive & Brain Sciences, and a short Dalcroze workshop from Dr Eric Barnhill, Co-Chair of the International Dalcroze Conference 2025. The workshop was kindly supported by Bader Philanthropies, as part of a series of celebrations of Dr Alfred Bader’s birthday
